10+ years of tutoring
Jason
- I am a current Ph.D student at the University of Texas at Dallas.
About Me
I received my bachelors of science in Mathematics with honors from Union College. While in undergrad, I spent all four years working as a course assistant, aiding professors with grading and coursework. I also volunteered with Girls Inc all four years, tutoring students in grades 1-5 in a range of topics, but mostly math. During the summers, I worked with the academic outreach program, as an RA and a tutor for students going into their first year at Union College. Now as a Ph.D student, I have spent two years as a TA for undergraduate students, mostly working in calculus based courses. I find tutoring an incredibly rewarding process; fostering a students growth, working closely with a few students, and really breaking through educational barriers that are difficult to tackle in a large classroom setting.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of math, I enjoy playing board games with friends, visiting museums, playing video games, and baking.
