About Me

John A. Ochinero is a technology entrepreneur turned educator, author, and K5 learning specialist. During the pandemic, he founded PILLARZ, a distance-learning tutoring platform that integrates technology with evidence-based instruction to help young learners thrive. With a Claremont McKenna College BA in Psychology & MBA graduate work at Drucker School of Management, John is a practitioner of Neurclusive education, including dyslexia, ADHD, and autism, through a fusion of Structured Literacy, MTSS/RTI, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). From 2022-2025 he taught and tutored across the United States and provided English instruction to underserved children in Mexico and Guatemala, strengthening his commitment to equitable, high-impact education. John is the author of the "Kid Power" series: Star House, The Mighty Simbas, and Dare Angel, value-driven K5 books that build literacy, resilience, empathy, and confidence through the adventures of Noah, Emma, and Oliver.
