About Me
I am an enthusiastic and motivated individual who loves to help teach students in grades K-12 while acting as a coach to advise and maximize the students' learning gains and build their self-confidence. I am a graduate of Stony Brook University with a bachelor's degree in both Biology and Human Evolutionary Biology and am currently a student in Boston University's Master's Anatomy Program with a teaching module. I graduated with honors distinction and also worked as a tutor in a learning center. I am driven but also compassionate toward students. As a result of my work in the learning center, I am used to effectively communicating with a student to identify any gaps in their skill or knowledge and how to resolve issues. I am able to teach a variety of STEM subjects such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Living Environment, Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy. I am also experienced in teaching the math portion of both the SAT and ACT, one of my former students scored a 1520 on their SAT.
Hobbies & Interests
In my spare time, I love to cook and try new recipes, especially with friends. In my opinion, food tastes better that way. I love to kick it back with some snacks and a good movie every now and then, I'm not too picky about the genre(sci-fi, rom-com, horror, action). However, I do make a LOT of commentary, but it's usually hilarious.
