Alexander
- Later in high school, I also developed a passion for helping students prepare for standardized tests as a self-employed SAT tutor.
About Me
I am an undergraduate computer science student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and I am very strong in the disciplines of programming, math, physics, English, and music. I have extensive experience with tutoring, starting in high school with my participation in Music and Mentors, a program in which high school orchestra performers would mentor middle school musicians. More recently, I am working on the side as a tutor for classmates making up for incomplete work and exams for the class Foundations of Computer Science, which covers language theory, automata theory, and Turing machines. As a lifelong tutor, I care deeply about helping others find joy in the subjects that I am enthusiastic about, and my approach uniquely prioritizes tutoring as a conversation rather than a one-sided lecture.
Hobbies & Interests
My hobbies include programming (especially video game and website development; I have worked with Python, Java, HTML/CSS/Javascript, C and Scheme), reading, writing, enjoying music, and hanging out with friends. I'm interested in mathematics, especially discrete math and calculus, and very passionate about literature the arts as well.
