I currently hold a B.A. in English and am working on an M.A. in Literature, focusing on Romanticism. I enjoy working with students because I can often help them understand the joys of English, and they end up as better writers, readers, and critical thinkers because I can guide them into discovering abilities they did not know they possessed. I love seeing the moment of realization and understanding on a student's face. My tutoring philosophy involves empathy and meeting students where they are. Every student is different, and it's my job as a tutor to understand them and help them see skills they may not be confident in. In addition to helping students learn material and gain specific skills, I also want to guide them into greater confidence in themselves.

I am interested in writing poetry, reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons, designing floral arrangements, and generally trying to keep my life organized and together.
