Brandon
- I have earned my Bachelor's in Mathematics at the University of North Texas, and a PhD in Mathematics Education at Texas State University.
About Me
Since graduation, I have been working as a Professor of Instruction at universities. I have taught many years at the university level over all levels of mathematics. Predominantly, this has been with algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus students. My philosophy for teaching is to prepare my students with a foundation in the content of the course as well as how to apply that knowledge in new contexts. I find it key to help students answer the questions they have while also preparing them to answer any other possible questions that could come from a context.
Hobbies & Interests
My main alternative interest to mathematics is video games. My friends and I tend to play video games throughout the week as a way to hang out. As a hobby, I was a percussionist throughout high school and now participate in a community band in the local area. We perform several concerts throughout the year which helps me keep in touch with my love of performing music.
