As an experienced, organized, and thorough English language and literature instructor, I am dedicated to inspiring a deep appreciation for language and storytelling while equipping students with the critical skills needed for success in a rapidly evolving world. With over a decade of teaching experience, I have honed an innovative approach that integrates traditional pedagogical methods with modern digital tools and multimedia resources, ensuring relevance and engagement in every lesson. My passion lies in fostering a classroom environment where creativity thrives, where students are empowered to explore diverse perspectives, and where they develop into independent, confident learners prepared to navigate complexities both within texts and beyond.

In addition to my passion for education I dedicate much of my time and energy to music (performance and composition), creative writing projects, and the outdoors. My greatest joys outside of teaching typically involve doing something outside (hiking, biking, camping) in the beautiful, woodsy Northwestern US where I've lived most of my life. As a teacher I've enjoyed running creative writing workshops, coaching speech and debate, and helping support students with volunteerism and community service.
