I love tutoring mathematics because it allows me to use my knowledge and experience to help students overcome their difficulties and succeed with math. I know that there is no one-size-fits-all method of tutoring and I enjoy the challenge of tailoring lessons to the student's level of understanding. Whether a student needs clarification or they are missing prerequisite background or they just find the material difficult it is my mission to help them achieve their goals. Guiding students to learn is rewarding in-and-of-itself but beyond that, as they say, "You never know something so well as when you teach it to someone else" and explaining math to a diverse range of students reinforces and deepens my own understanding at every level so I not only tutor and teach others but I learn from that experience as well.

Currently, when i have the time, I enjoy reading - mostly science fiction, bicycle riding and the occasional chess game.
