With 7 years of experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities, I specialize differentiation techniques for elementary subjects, including reading, writing, ELA, math, science, and social studies. I also love helping students develop their social and executive functioning skills, along with other life skills that they can use both in and out of the classroom! I love seeing students grow in their understanding and develop problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom. I earned my undergraduate degree in Special Education from Texas Tech University and will graduate with my Masters in December 2024! I have extensive experience tailoring lessons to meet each student's unique needs. My teaching philosophy focuses on creating an inclusive, encouraging environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, explore concepts, and take ownership of their learning. My tutoring style combines patience, adaptability, and evidence-based strategies to make learning accessible and engaging. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, Meeka and Jarvis, going to the movie theater, and playing sudoku. All of this is made even better if its with friends and family!
