About Me

I am passionate about helping students because I want to see them learn and grow, just like my teachers helped me learn and grow. I have seven years of experience working with students. I received my education from Wayne State University and Buena Vista University. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences & Disorders and a Master of Arts in Curriculum Instruction and Teacher Leadership. I have tutored biology, algebra, phonics, and elementary school math. My favorite subject to tutor is algebra because I am exceptionally good with number expressions and number equations. My teaching style is to help my students learn to their full potential. My tutoring style is to do a pre-test to check students' knowledge and understanding. After I explain the material, teach the student the skill needed, check for comprehension, re-teach, and check for comprehension again. After, I will make time for questions or any additional help.
