About Me

I am a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education with a concentration in Social Sciences. Since graduation, I have worked in a wide variety of educational settings. In person, I taught PreK - 12th grade both general and special education classes. Virtually, I have taught grades 2, 3, 6, and 8 general and special education classes. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Reading and History. I enjoy reading all types of books from classic fables to biographies of our presidents, and everything in between. I have training in phonics programs; Wilson Reading Program a structured literacy program, and Orton Gillingham Multisensory phonics techniques for remedial readers. Theses programs help struggling readers. I have always enjoyed history. Besides reading, I enjoy museums, and movies about our country. I also have the National Virtual Teacher certification. I believe all students can learn and that learning should be fun.
