I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy helping students learn how to hold conversations while building their vocabulary and confidence in a new language. With public speaking, I have been presenting research, papers, and reports for over 15 years and know how to help students overcome their nerves while speaking in a relaxed manner to their peers. Additionally, my teaching style is student centered as I concentrate on the student's needs and use their strengths to help them achieve their goals. As a bilingual school psychologist, I have 11 years of experience identifying students' weaknesses in the areas of reading, writing, and math due to learning disabilities and turn them into strengths to make the learning experience fun and understandable. Overall, I like to create a trusting environment for my students where they can learn the material while having fun. Seeing my students find their "aha!" moment is what makes me passionate about what I do!
