About Me
With experience teaching Japanese at a language school, as well as to colleagues and my own children, I am passionate about sharing the beauty and depth of the Japanese language and culture. I pay close attention to linguistic nuances, including the proper use of keigo (honorific speech) and particles. I am currently attending a series of seminars on teaching Japanese to adult learners. My dedication to promoting Japanese culture is also reflected in my achievement in the ITO EN North America Haiku Competition, where I received the Silver Award. I look forward to helping students reach their language-learning goals.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy reading, writing haiku poetry, and making traditional Japanese sweets using sweet red bean paste. I also stay active through pickleball, tennis, cross-country skiing, and taking fitness classes at the gym. Another favorite pastime of mine is exploring different restaurants and enjoying good food with friends.
