I have a Masters degree in English Rhetoric and Composition, and while I was in graduate school at Purdue I taught freshman writing classes and business writing. After I finished school, I started in on a 40 year career as a book editor and technical writer, and I wrote over 160 books about computer programs, including lots of "For Dummies" books. As you might guess, technical writing is my specialty and passion, and I especially love working with students learning that craft. My other area of expertise is Microsoft Office applications. I've written dozens of how-to books over the years about Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access, and I'd be glad to help you with the thorniest of issues with these applications.

I like continuing to learn about new subjects by listening to Great Courses audio books, and staying fit at my local gym taking classes in kickboxing and Pilates.
