I've been an educator in New York City for nine years working with both elementary and middle school students in general education and special education settings. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and have experience helping students grow in math, reading, writing, organization, study skills, and overall confidence. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and personalized. I know every student learns differently, so I focus on finding the approach that works best for them rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all method. I break difficult concepts into manageable steps, build strong foundations, and help students feel comfortable asking questions. I especially enjoy working with students who may feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or behind. I take pride in helping students realize they are capable of success with the right guidance and strategies. My goal as a tutor is not only to improve grades and test performance, but also to help students become more independent, confident learners. I work hard to make sessions productive, encouraging, and engaging so students can make real progress while feeling supported along the way.
