Hi there! My name is Ms. Mitchell and I love to learn. My top priorities include not just helping students learn, but more importantly, getting them excited about it. I've been in the education field for 15 years, working as a general education teacher, a special education intervention teacher, and a museum educator at the Creative Discovery Museum. I've encountered every type of student imaginable and I've loved working with every one of them! I'm a huge believer in creative problem solving when learning gets tough and I believe that at least 30% of an educator's job is to build your students up through positive feedback. I'm highly observant of what makes each student "tick" and adjusting my teaching strategies to match each individual. Let's work together to make learning fun!

I love art, reading, movies, Lego sets, puzzles, playing video games on my Switch, playing guitar, documentaries, eating new types of food, traveling, meeting new people, and more than anything in the world, I love my cat, Kiki. She has a cat tower behind my chair and you just might catch a glimpse of her sometime!
