My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student has the potential to succeed when given encouragement, structure, and meaningful instruction. With sixteen years of experience teaching social studies, I have learned that education is most powerful when students see how it connects to their own lives. Social studies is not simply about memorizing dates, names, and events; it is about applying them to daily living to become a good citizen and lifelong learner.

My hobbies and interests include reading, world travel, writing non-fiction/fiction books, following professional and college football, astrophotography, watching the news and world events, television and movies, and spending time with my family and friends.
