I am a University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and will be graduating this April with my Doctor of Pharmacy degree. One of the reasons I chose to go into pharmacy school was so that I could make a difference in people???s lives, no matter how big or small. That is also why I have a passion for tutoring, something I have been doing since 2012. I absolutely love seeing a student???s face light up with understanding and seeing him/her improve as time goes by. I think the best way to tutor is to find the root of the issue whether it???s time management, difficulty in understanding the material, or difficulty in applying the material; and then using different strategies to really address that issue in a collaborative manner in order to really help the student improve. As someone currently in graduate school, I have seen my peers struggle with subjects and struggled myself. Through this and my past experiences tutoring, I have come up with many different strategies for learning and ways to address a student???s different learning style as well. During my spare time, I love trying new things, completing jigsaw puzzles (my current challenge is a 2000 piece puzzle!), learning how to sew and make my own clothes, and just being outside and exploring the area.

I'm Uchenna! I'm from Beltsville, MD and I currently am taking a year off between my third and fourth years at the University of Michigan Medical School to do biomedical research at the NIH. I also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. I have quite a few years of tutoring under my belt as I tutored for about 3 years when I was at UMBC. And although I had no formal tutoring positions in medical school, my classmates and I constantly taught each other our material and various concepts. I love tutoring because I know trying to be successful in your coursework can be difficult and when you can help someone throughout that journey, it truly is beneficial for both tutee and tutor seeing the mutual satisfaction in that person's progress.

I'm 23 years old, and I'm originally from Danville, Indiana. I got my bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Vassar College in Spring 2018. I'm currently in graduate school to become a pharmacist - I'm in my first year of the PharmD program at Northeastern University.

I have earned a B.S. in Molecular Biology from Messiah College and I am working towards a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Drexel University. When I am not lost in the world of academia, I enjoy spending time in nature, reading science-fiction books, and cooking plant-based foods.

I am attending graduate school at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to receive my PhD in Analytical Chemistry. Someday I want to work for a biotech or pharmaceutical company. My tutoring experience has been unique because I have tutored students ranging from second grade to senior year college students where I primarily cover STEM (Science, Math, Engineering, and Technology) concepts. Recently, I have been a TA in chemistry and biology college level courses. My hands on experience has helped me become a better teacher because I use many different types of real world examples for students to learn and grasp concepts. I know every student can achieve greatness through hard work and when someone supports them along the way. In my spare time, I enjoy going for walks, listening to music, watching Netflix, and being outdoors.

I am an alumna of The Williams School in New London, CT. I attended undergrad at Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT as a Molecular Biology & Biochemistry major. I am currently completing a dual Ph.D/Pharm.D. program at the University of Connecticut. My graduate work focuses on medicinal chemistry and pharmacology.

I am a law student, but I took an unusual route to get there. I used to attend medical school but had a change of heart in my career path. Part of this was due to my political science major (double major with biology) in college as well as a number of Spanish and other courses that I took. Tutoring is something, I feel, that has come naturally to me, even back to my high school days. My goal is to help you learn as much as you can and reach your true potential. Also, because I like helping others, I enjoys tutoring/teaching students who are struggling. During high school, I have tutored other high students after school on various subjects such as Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Latin. During college, I have held informal review sessions for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry for my underclassmen. I tutored my roommate and one of my underclassmen in Organic Chemistry. Finally, with a Graduate Student TA, I co-taught a Organic Chemistry Lab class section , where I answer questions regarding lab material and demonstrate lab techniques.
