I was born in Shanghai, China and stayed in Shanghai through high school before I attended Carleton College, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Cross-Cultural Studies. During my 4 years at Carleton College, I worked as a teaching assistant with the Chinese Language Department. I tutored students on a one-on-one basis to help them improve their spoken and written Chinese language abilities. My way of teaching is extremely flexible, catering to the student’s need. If you come visit my sessions, you will find very interactive dialogues accompanied by laughter and a relaxing environment, yet very learning conducive. I used various methods and media to assist learning such as tapes, and short videos, etc. What I find the students appreciate the most is the cultural and history background I am able to bring into the tutor sessions to make learning more fun and meaningful. In addition, I also have strong interest and deep knowledge in Mathematics, such as Algebra and Geometry. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, travelling and photography.
