I am passionate about the language arts, and I might have been the only 8th grade student ever to be excited about diagramming sentences! I believe in a more relaxed method of teaching because frustration can occur easily while learning. By breaking down the material into pieces, I believe the difficulties a student faces become less overwhelming and he or she can focus on one piece at a time. This allows the student to have that "aha" moment as he or she begins to understand each piece, and then, it motivates the student to continue forward. I feel this approach can be used in almost any subject with any age student.
