- Enjoying and succeeding in a literature class does not require having the right answers.
- Its also about using those tools to draw ones own conclusions.
About Me
As a graduate from UC Irvines Literary Journalism program, I have always been enthusiastic about sharing the most effective ways to write, read and communicate to the best of ones ability. Instead, I feel that its about having the tools needed to interpret the meaning behind novels, short stories, poetry, and other types of works. In addition to having the right tools, I also believe that confidence is important to build in the classroom as well. During my junior and senior year of high school, I took International Baccalaureate classes in English. I sometimes struggled with writing essays and speaking up during class discussions. It was only until I sought a bit of extra help after school from my teachers and even classmates that I began to improve, which is why I see the value in spending personal time with students to help them reach their individual goals. I continued to challenge myself in English and literature-related classes in college. I took courses in writing, poetry, plays, and even journalism and film. I graduated from UC Irvine in 2014 having made the Deans Honor List. In addition to my passion for reading and writing, I also enjoy playing music, doing arts and crafts projects, and going to yoga.
