I have been teaching high school for the past ten years and am about to begin my 11th school year as an English Language Arts and Reading teacher for both 11th and 9th grade. As a tutor, I am looking forward to the opportunity to work one-on-one with students, which is something that doesn't happen often enough in the classroom. I believe that good teachers and tutors can help create enthusiastic life-long learners. I am passionate about education, about teaching students how to become creative critical thinkers and about watching students grow and develop throughout the learning process. I am well versed in a variety of reading and writing strategies, and love to tailor tutoring plans to fit individual student needs.
