Hello! I have been an educator for over 15 years. When I was very young, I knew I wanted to be an educator. I attended college at California State University in San Marcos, CA. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies, and then I received my Multiple Subject, California State Teaching Credential. I taught 2nd grade for 6 years and creative writing. After moving to Frisco, TX I obtained my Texas Teaching Certification and have taught creative writing to 2nd through 8th grade students in summer and school year writing workshops. Teaching creative ways to write, and hearing what my students create, is so very rewarding. Additionally, I instructed future teachers in education courses at UNT and taught art and creative writing at an after school enrichment program. I am passionate about guiding and instructing learners in a variety of subject areas, while introducing tools that will lead them to success in both their academic and personal experiences. A bit about me. I enjoy reading. My favorite activity to do in my free time is to grab a book and read in my oversized chair. I love to journal and write. I also enjoy spending time with my family. I am married and have two children. I also have two dogs and two cats. I consider them my family as well. I have lived in Frisco, TX for eight years. Before Texas we lived in San Diego, CA.
