About Me

I am a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor's degree in English. I am currently finishing up my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Full Sail University. Since graduating from FAU, I've worked with homeless and foster youth in New York. Then, I traveled to California where I worked with AmeriCorps to counsel and tutor high school students in underserved communities. I am a proud advocate of education. To me, knowledge is power. With being a poet, I have a natural love and appreciation for words. This converted into my interest in English and Literature. Currently, I am a 6th grade Language Arts teacher. I teach a range of students who require me to be versatile in my teaching methods. I believe every student should receive all the help they need in order to truly be the best student they can be. Along with poetry, my other interests include reading, writing, painting, and gaming.
