About Me
I am a graduate of Hunter College High School in NYC, and I am currently a sophomore at Wesleyan University majoring in Neuroscience & Behavior. I have experience teaching algebra, geometry, music theory, music history, and basic elementary school math and writing. Before my college campus was shut down, I was designing and teaching a "Creative Science" after school class at a local elementary school. I also taught private flute lessons at Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater. I am currently volunteering as a tutor with EduMateNYC, an organization that provides free virtual tutoring to low-income students, I will be a program coordinator in the fall. I am so grateful for the teachers and mentors in my life, and I feel lucky to have the opportunity to have a positive impact on younger students and give back to my community. In addition to helping students stay on track with their schoolwork, I strongly believe in the importance of arts education. Especially during this difficult time, I believe that learning should be fun. I always try to teach in an engaging way and relate the material to the individual student's interests.
Hobbies & Interests
I love making music with my friends. I play the flute, piano, ukulele, and guitar. I also enjoy sunrise bike rides and spotting animals while hiking.
