About Me

I am a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in mathematics and minored in creative writing and statistics. I tutor math, reading, and writing up to the college level. My favorite subject to tutor is Algebra, because I believe it is the most intuitive area in math, and nothing in teaching brings me more joy than in helping students develop their own sense of intuition towards a subject. I have experience working with students at the elementary, middle school, and high school level in math. This has included creating individualized plans to work with a student's needs, whether they are in need of support with working on assignments or lessons to supplement the curriculum for their level. My tutoring style is focused on putting the student first: making sure that they feel comfortable asking questions, that their needs are understood and respected, and that, as we progress, they are gaining the skills and confidence to tackle any challenges that come their way.
