Since completing my PhD in applied mathematics and statistics from Stony Brook University, I've been working as a data scientist / analyst in various industries such as marketing, law, staffing, streaming and entertainment, and logistics. I'm well versed in Excel, Python, R, SQL, applied Math and Statistics. During my undergrad and graduate academic career, I've had the opportunity to teach underrepresented students entering college from high school in mathematics, college level calculus courses to undergrads, and led recitations of upper-level courses for graduate students in the mathematical/computational biological sciences. While my career has largely been focused on research and applications of mathematics, I've always had a particular interest in teaching. My passion for these subjects make it easy for me to teach others and to make it fun. When I teach, I always try to make the lessons as interesting as possible, because in addition to teaching the lesson I personally and honestly want to have fun doing it. Outside of work I'm a father of 3, I love coffee and I love to play a game of chess.
