Taylor
- I am a graduate of Columbia College of Missouri.
- I received my Bachelor of General Studies with a minor in Elementary Education.
About Me
Later, I attended my alma mater to obtain my Master of Arts in Teaching. Since graduation, I worked as a third-grade teacher in Scottsdale, Arizona teaching students of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, stories and abilities, tailoring my instruction to meet their individual learning needs, and ensuring an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners. During my time as an elementary teacher, I tutored small groups of students in reading and math, as well as prepared those students for their state standardized assessments. While I have experience tutoring children in reading and math, I also have the knowledge and skill to tutor in other subjects/learning opportunities such as study skills, organizational skills, writing, and more. As a former teacher, my goal is to teach the material in a way that is not only engaging, but also varied. I enjoy using different teaching methods and strategies to get a concept across such as whole-body movement, pictures, written notes, and repetition to name a few. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my toddler and husband, reading thriller books, watching college football (go Ole Miss!) and catching up with friends over coffee.
