About Me
What drew me to Anthropology was my interest in people, a passion that has drawn me towards tutoring. I have extensive tutoring experience assisting students of a wide variety of ages. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I tutored adult immigrants in English. Throughout these years I also tutored children ages 6-13 in elementary and middle school studies including math, science, social studies. I am proficient in Elementary School Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Biology, AP Biology, Biochemistry English, European History, Social Science, Social Studies. My teaching philosophy is simple: I believe all students are capable of understanding any topic of study. My job as a tutor is to help facilitate this understanding by building student confidence. I do this by taking complex topics, breaking them down into simple pieces and then reassembling these pieces to give a big picture perspective. All the tools needed for students to succeed are already within them, my duty is to help my tutees utilize them.
