About Me

I have worked as a teaching assistant of Math 155r (Combinatorics) at Harvard University, where I got my B.A. in Applied Mathematics in 2017, and will be teaching (most likely) Calculus starting in the fall of 2017, while I begin my Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I have worked as a tutor (ranging from middle school to high school/SAT math) since 2010, and have also enjoyed tutoring other subjects, such as SAT English, physics, and chemistry. I am extremely invested in making challenging topics less intimidating and am happy to work with students of all levels! I have worked as a math tutor since 2010, and really enjoy working with students to help find contexts that make mathematics more understandable and relatable. Further, I am personally very interested in mathematics, since I will be working in math research/teaching as a graduate student. I became proficient in French in 2013 following high school, after which I have maintained proficiency by taking upper-level French courses and taking part in immersive experiences such as working for French-speaking families. Since I grew up a native English speaker, I understand the difficulties that come with learning a new language, and am excited to help people work through these challenges and enjoy the benefits of multilingualism.
