Since I began my elementary school teaching career, I have been passionately committed to inspiring students' interest in learning, maximizing individual student performance and growth, and empowering students' self-confidence and worth. The students with whom I have worked have shown me that these qualities are necessary for having a healthy and successful relationship with them. I work very closely with each student. I consciously provide individualized support for academics as well as their personal nurturing and the praises they require for continued encouragement. I have provided effective classroom management, creative lesson plans, and have maintained proficient and distinguished ratings on evaluations. As an outstanding teacher, it is vital to stay connected and collaborate with all parties involved (e.g. clinicians, staff, and families) to ensure success for each student. I believe it is important to welcome assistance from families to encourage the success of each student, both inside and outside of the classroom. My philosophy begins with recognizing each child as an individual with special abilities and talents. It is my responsibility as an educator to create and adapt lessons and an environment that draw out and develop the student's abilities. I believe we are all lifelong learners and it is my desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
