I received my BA in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin, and my MA in Social Sciences with a concentration in Anthropology from University of Chicago. I have tutored and worked in customer service throughout my college career, specializing in tutoring writing, academic/research writing, research proposals, ethnographic methods, and social science theory. I can help you edit any essay to make your writing strong and make it stand out! Research and argumentative writing are my forte, but I can tackle college essays, literature reviews, annotated bibliographies, etc. with the same tenacity. I am a firm believer that knowledge is power, and writing is how I share my knowledge with the world. I will give you pointers to become an overall better writer and tailor your papers to your intended audience! I can also help my students in general or intro social science courses. Per my education, I have taken multiple social theory courses that have made me well versed in discussing difficult theoretical concepts. I can help students break down material, connect the material to real-world social issues, and help develop reading/writing skills to improve overall study habits. My goal is to help students think critically about themselves and the world around them, and give them the tools to become great problem solvers and well-rounded thinkers.

My personal academic interests include Caribbean studies, political anthropology, identity formation and politics, race, diaspora, indigeneity, nationhood, sovereignty, and land rights— specifically in Puerto Rico. I love to talk social theory, read, and write. In my spare time I enjoy strength training, going on walks in the park, hanging by the lake/beach, dancing, and I love trying new foods!
