- While I am most passionate about topics in the social sciences and humanities, I also love math and am proficient in Spanish.
About Me
I am a doctoral student in linguistic anthropology at Michigan State University, where I previously received two bachelor's degrees in professional writing and comparative cultures and politics with a minor in Spanish. After graduating, I worked as a behavior aide in an elementary school helping students in need of extra behavioral support in the classroom and in social situations. The following year, I was a long-term substitute Spanish teacher for grades pre-K through 8th, where I gained experience developing lesson plans for exploratory Spanish all the way up to students receiving high school credit for Spanish 1.I am eager to tutor because I absolutely love both teaching and being a student myself. For that reason, I enjoy tutoring a wide range of topics and getting to learn new things as I engage in the material I'm working on with students. I love working with students of all ages and helping support students as they navigate coursework, tests, and essays.
Hobbies & Interests
In my free time, I love working out, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. I also love reading mystery novels and am currently learning embroidery. My husband and I love hiking, finding new restaurants, and hanging out with our two cats.
