I am most passionate about math, but am comfortable working with students of all ages K-12 (and beyond!) in subjects including chemistry, physics, Spanish, writing, and more!

I am currently a third-year student majoring in Biology and a part of the Health Science Scholars Honors program at the University of Texas at Austin. I have experience tutoring high school and middle school students for the past couple of years in a variety of subjects and my favorite ones include sciences such as biology and chemistry, as well as ACT/SAT/PSAT test prep. I firmly believe in the value of good education and hope to inspire that same positivity in others.

I am graduate of Brown University, where I received a degree in Economics and studied topics ranging from Computer Science and Applied Math to Literary Arts and Philosophy. I even helped create a class during my senior year, working together with other students to write a syllabus, gather reading materials, schedule guest speakers, and ultimately, present the results to an academic dean for course credit. After graduation, I moved to Hong Kong, where I worked at a a summer program at the University of Hong Kong, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, as a Teaching Assistant in a Game Theory class for advanced middle school students. After the program ended, I traveled around Asia, visiting places in Malaysia and Vietnam before eventually returning to the American South, where, as a native North Carolinian, I feel at home. I usually prefer tutoring in subjects involving math and social sciences but I am very flexible. Outside of education, I love playing guitar and piano, and I have released music both as a solo artist and as part of a band. I also like to play disc golf and lacrosse and enjoy participating in fantasy football.

I'm starting my junior year at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. I'm currently getting my degree in biology with a concentration in health and human disease, global health, and a minor in French. I love reading, traveling, learning and helping others learn! I have always been passionate about helping others by continuing the chain of mentorship that I received and helping others avoid the same mistakes I once made. In my experience helping struggling students prepare their applications for admissions, I have had the most fun reviewing essays and revising resumes. I also enjoy sharing tips and tricks to solving any Standardized Math Test questions! I truly believe education is the key to a better future, and it cannot be taken for granted because of the unequal opportunities that others face. Outside of academia, I enjoy working out, hiking, playing sports with my friends, and showing people new songs!

I'm a current student at Smith College working towards my degree in Education & Child Studies and Theatre. I've been tutoring for many years and I have experience working with children of all ages and ability levels--from profoundly gifted students to students struggling with learning disabilities. I believe every student has the potential to succeed, it is just a question of finding the right entryway into the material. Since teachers don't always have the time to work individually with every student, that's where a tutor comes in!

Logical Reasoning is half the scored LSAT, so small improvements here move the needle fast. Paul tackles it by drilling the underlying argument structures — sufficient vs. necessary conditions, causal reasoning gaps, overlooked alternatives — until students can spot the flaw in a stimulus within seconds. His own LSAT prep and economics training gave him a systematic way of diagramming arguments that he now walks students through step by step.

I am now on my second). I have always valued education but at times saw that teaching methods did not adapt appropriately to the student. There is more than one way to learn material. Because of that I hope to spend some time with students, helping them get the test scores that will allow them to get into their dream school. Throughout my high school and college career I gained extensive experience in tutoring members of my rugby team, fellow classmates and friends. Regarding the subjects I have taught- I am familiar with math all the way up to Algebra 2 (including ACT and SAT Math), I have helped many students prepare for the SAT and ACT. Many times smart students have issues with standardized tests due to improper test taking strategies. Every student has unique strengths and weaknesses, I focus on refining those strengths, minimizing those weaknesses and combining the proper test taking strategies in order to achieve the scores that student needs to get into the school they want.

I am a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and English Literature in 2014. Since graduation, I have served one year as a K-2 literacy tutor with A Community for Education, and this past year I worked as a kindergarten teacher at IDEA Public Schools. I will be beginning a Masters Program in Education this fall at the University of Texas at Austin with a certification in teaching 7-12th English. My goal as a professional is to unite my love of literature with my passion for social justice to become an inspirational and effective educator of underserved preteen and teenage students. I am a sophomore, English and Computer Science double major at Carleton College who is ecstatic about teaching and spreading my love of learning. I'm a data science major with a focus on economics at the University of Rochester. I'm interested in tutoring students in mathematics and/or computer science, as I enjoy both subjects thoroughly, and think that a good understanding of those subjects is useful to anyone, no matter their interests. I am a third-year Ph.D. student in UT Austin's American Studies department. I received my B.S. in Media, Culture and Communication from NYU and my M.A. in Literary and Cultural Studies from Carnegie Mellon. I am a law student seeking to help fund my living expenses while I go to school. Before I entered law school, while I was getting my master's degree, I tutored a variety of high school subjects and the SAT and ACT. I'm a recent graduate from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering (Hook 'em Horns!). I've been involved with teaching K-12 for 3 years now during my college career and have had a passion for teaching ever since my first job in high school at a math tutoring company. I scored well on both the SAT and the ACT thanks to many prep courses for the SAT and adequate prep materials for the ACT. In high school, my favorite subjects were by far Math, Biology and Spanish, and I made sure to apply my love for those subjects through studying Biomedical Engineering with a Spanish minor. I'm Atharva and I attend The University of Texas at Austin! I am currently majoring in computational engineering, which is essentially a mix of math, computer science, and aerospace engineering. I have worked as a math tutor for around 3 years, and I have seen students improve their scores significantly in their classes and standardized tests. I am a University of Texas student pursuing a BSA in Mathematics, I am passionate about being a leader and a mentor, I love working with people! I was an orientation advisor for two summers, where I gave students support and advice when it came to class preparation and registration. I have worked at the University Writing Center at UT for the past year, where I tutor undergraduates in writing skills. I review papers in all subjects and of all types, including research papers, lab reports, persuasive essays, creative writing, and post-undergraduate school applications. I also worked with Communities in Schools at a Title I elementary school on writing, grammar, reading, and comprehension. I am from the Boulder, Colorado area, and graduated from the University of Colorado, where I studied English and business, while also completing a four-year study on ethical leadership. Additionally, I pursued Honors distinction through a study of James Joyce and interned with now U.S. Senator Mark Udall during his tenure in the House of Representatives. I worked with Crocs Footwear at their global headquarters as an account manager for five years in account management, before relocating to Austin, Texas, in 2011, when I began pursuing a career in education. I am currently certified as a teacher in Texas in six different subjects, including Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Business, and Special Education. I enjoy all of these subjects, but am particularly passionate about language arts.
