I'm starting my junior year at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. I'm currently getting my degree in biology with a concentration in health and human disease, global health, and a minor in French. I love reading, traveling, learning and helping others learn! I have experience tutoring high school and elementary school students in math, science, and English and I love tutoring in each subject equally. Eventually, I see myself going to medical school and researching topics related to viral diseases which I've been interested in since a very young age. I'm very passionate about the subjects I teach and hope to pass my passion on to the individuals I tutor!

I am a sophomore, English and Computer Science double major at Carleton College who is ecstatic about teaching and spreading my love of learning. I am graduate of Brown University, where I received a degree in Economics and studied topics ranging from Computer Science and Applied Math to Literary Arts and Philosophy. I even helped create a class during my senior year, working together with other students to write a syllabus, gather reading materials, schedule guest speakers, and ultimately, present the results to an academic dean for course credit. After graduation, I moved to Hong Kong, where I worked at a a summer program at the University of Hong Kong, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, as a Teaching Assistant in a Game Theory class for advanced middle school students. After the program ended, I traveled around Asia, visiting places in Malaysia and Vietnam before eventually returning to the American South, where, as a native North Carolinian, I feel at home. I usually prefer tutoring in subjects involving math and social sciences but I am very flexible. Outside of education, I love playing guitar and piano, and I have released music both as a solo artist and as part of a band. I also like to play disc golf and lacrosse and enjoy participating in fantasy football.

I'm a freshman at Rice University, and planning to major in Mathematical Economic Analysis and Computer Science. I'm also a student athlete and a starting member of The Rice University Men's Golf Team so I understand time is crucial and will do my best to help you understand and not just memorize concepts so you don't have to spend time every week trying to understand the same thing. A lot of math concepts repeat themselves in high school and college. My core is in math and that is where I will be most efficient in helping a student. I am a former elementary Dual Language Teacher with a passion for learning. I graduated from Texas State University in 2019 with my Bachelor's in Spanish, with minor in International Relations. I immediately continued on to graduate school and completed my Master's degree in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, specializing in Language Acquisition at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona in December 2020. My Master's thesis investigated a student's second language learning abilities depending on differing teaching platforms: face- to- face vs. live video lessons. I am a graduate student at Sam Houston State University pursuing MS in chemistry and going to graduate in May 2016. I am looking forward to join graduate program at UT Austin to obtain PhD in chemistry. I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant and Tutor at SHSU for various chemistry courses. I have always been passionate about chemistry and mathematics because of their direct relation with our everyday life, a need to think deeply for problem solving, and the presence of wide scope to always learn something new. I'm a biomedical engineering student and undergraduate researcher at Texas A&M University working towards a Bachelor of Science degree. For as long as I can remember, I've always had a passion for learning. In high school, I challenged myself by taking as many AP exams as possible. Doing so not only shaped my love of education but also challenged me to become a self-taught learner. Using what I learned from AP exam preparation allowed me to become a National Merit Finalist, two-time National AP Scholar, and valedictorian of my graduating class of over 600 students. While my favorite subjects to tutor are high school-level and engineering calculus, I am happy to tutor in a range of subjects, including all-around ACT preparation, high school and college math, chemistry, physics, and world history. I am a second-year graduate student in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work program at the University of Texas at Austin pursing a Masters in Social Work. I also attended UT-Austin for my undergraduate years, where I majored in psychology, minored in sociology, and received a creative writing certificate. I have worked at the University Writing Center at UT for the past year, where I tutor undergraduates in writing skills. I review papers in all subjects and of all types, including research papers, lab reports, persuasive essays, creative writing, and post-undergraduate school applications. I also worked with Communities in Schools at a Title I elementary school on writing, grammar, reading, and comprehension.
