I'm a writer and editor with a passion for learning that I love to share -- I've been told my tag line should be "let's find out!" I'm a native Austinite, but I lived in New York while I got my Bachelor's in Comparative Literature and minored in Linguistics. After I graduated I moved back home to Austin and got my Masters in Global Policy Studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT. Now I'm in Fort Worth, with an MBA I picked up along the way (also from UT Austin) -- apparently I can't stay out of school for long.

I am a graduate of Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. I received my European M.A. in Latin and Italian Philology. In the past, I tutored children and adults interested in learning Latin and Italian. Post graduate, I was a translator for an Italian company. I am Czech and Italian citizen. The past 15 years, living in Texas, I have tutored children at the elementary school. I was also the head coach of a Destination Imagination team that qualified for their Global Tournament. I am passionate about Latin derivatives, History, and Italian music. I love helping students learn new languages; opening their minds to new cultures they may never have experienced before. "As many languages you know, as many times you are a human being." - T.G. Masaryk, First President of Czechoslovakia. Thank you for your consideration.
I am teaching business courses in college since 2012 and I give corporate lectures and seminars on organizational development, leadership and project management in construction and production environments.
I am currently a student at Rice University studying both History and Neuroscience. Being the oldest of five kids, working with younger students has always been a part of my life. I can tutor a wide variety of subjects, but I specialize in writing, public speaking, and test taking. My goal for every tutoring session is to give students large-scale takeaways that they can apply in their academic future, maximizing the efficiency of every session.
Hello! My name is Adla Farra and I am a senior at Rice University aiming to complete a Bachelor's of Science in Biosciences with a concentration in Cell Biology. I have had experience tutoring since high school in a variety of subjects including reading, mathematics, and sciences. My teaching style emphasizes compassion and communication! I'm always here to help talk and work through any confusion and will always accommodate to each student's unique learning styles. As the older sister to a sibling with dyslexia, I am confident in my abilities in navigating different learning techniques and approaches!
I'm employed as an engineer in Fort Worth and I'd love to teach again as well! I have always been introspective when it comes to my education, so I've paid a lot of attention to what works for me when I'm being taught. I love interactive learning and problem solving as opposed to lectures and I value the importance of putting something in your own terms to understand rather than memorizing a dictionary or textbook definition. I understand the struggle of keeping good grades amongst a busy schedule and would love to help
I am qualified to tutor many subjects, my favorite subject by far is math, specifically calculus. Math is a subject almost universally hated, and I believe that is mainly due to the narrow way in which it is taught. I have ADHD, and I often don't understand things the first time they are explained to me, meaning over the years I have had to figure out different ways of looking at information. Oftentimes, all a student needs is for something to be explained in a different way, and I love watching people finally understand a concept. Everyone learns differently, but everyone can learn.
I am currently an Honors college student majoring in pre-med psychology with a goal of going into psychiatry or clinical psychology! I have about two years of professional tutoring experience, and I am currently teaching a handful of students. I took 14 AP classes in high school, earning college credit and high grades for all of them, most notably a 5 on AP English Lang and a 4 on AP Calculus AB. I genuinely enjoy teaching, and I would love nothing more than to see my students succeed.
I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm and current skills to your team.
I am a current teacher in Dallas ISD. Other than being a passionate Horned Frog, I also love music and theatre. I cannot wait to meet you and see you grow and succeed!
I am passionate about social justice and I believe a great part of justice is education. Education is empowering and fulfilling and I am privileged enough to have experienced this. Now, I want to help others experience the life-changing power of education as well.
I am a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and San Diego State University, and possess degrees in English and Creative Writing. In the fall of 2012 I moved to Fort Worth, where I am currently pursuing my PhD in American Literature, in addition to tutoring for Varsity.
I am here to help and cannot wait to help you learn in the best way possible for you.
I am proficient in teaching Math and Science to elementary, high school, and college students.
I am currently a rising junior at Georgetown University, where I am double majoring in Government (Political Science) and English. For the summer, I am home in Phoenix, Arizona where my schedule is incredible flexible and I would love to work with you!
I am currently a Senior undergraduate student at Texas Christian University pursuing my B.S. in Chemistry. My passion for teaching ensures a positive learning atmosphere and course success!
I am enrolled at the UNTHSC Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and I am doing a masters program in Medical Science. I have had lots of previous experience in tutoring, with subjects ranging from elementary to college level. I also specialize in teaching how to study for standardized tests, mainly the SAT. When I took the exam i learned a lot of beneficial tips and tricks to help me get such a good score. My goal is to teach kids the quality of good study habits and to make learning something that can be fun. I believe that teaching kids is so rewarding and I hope that my tutoring services will help students gain the confidence to take on any class.
I am a graduate of the Honors College at TCU with a BBA in Entrepreneurial Management, minor in Spanish, and certificate in International Studies. I am a part of 3 start-up companies but I love tutoring so I can help students and fund my travel/scuba hobbies.
Hi y'all! I hold my Master of Science in Psychology of Sport and my Bachelor of Science in both Psychology and Applied Human and Sport Physiology. I have many years of tutoring under my belt, working with people of all levels from elementary school through college in hard science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics), a few social sciences (History, Psychology, Economics), and language arts. When not tutoring, I love playing soccer and I even coach a youth team. I love encouraging students to learn, grow, and think critically for themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, Varsity Tutors connects students across all 12 Fort Worth school districts with personalized tutoring. Whether your student attends schools in Fort Worth ISD, Arlington ISD, Keller ISD, or any other district in the area, we can match them with a tutor who understands their specific curriculum and academic goals.
Personalized 1-on-1 instruction is particularly effective for helping students master Texas standards because tutors can focus on each student's specific learning gaps rather than teaching to a classroom average. With Fort Worth's 15:1 student-teacher ratio, many students benefit from the additional attention tutoring provides to strengthen their performance on STAAR assessments and meet grade-level expectations.
Fort Worth students frequently seek help with math, reading comprehension, and test preparation—especially as they progress through middle and high school. We also connect many students with tutors for science support, writing skills, and SAT/ACT prep, which are critical for college readiness across the region's diverse school districts.
During the first session, the tutor will assess your student's current level, understand their specific challenges, and learn about their learning style. This initial meeting helps the tutor create a personalized plan tailored to your student's needs—whether that's catching up on foundational skills, preparing for an upcoming test, or getting ahead in their Fort Worth school curriculum.
We consider your student's specific school district, grade level, subject needs, and learning preferences when connecting them with a tutor. This means your student gets matched with someone experienced in their particular curriculum—whether that's Fort Worth ISD's elementary programs, middle school STEM initiatives, or high school AP and dual-credit courses offered across the region.
Absolutely. Varsity Tutors offers flexible scheduling to fit around your student's classes, extracurriculars, and family commitments. Whether your student needs support after school, on weekends, or during the summer, we can connect them with a tutor available at times that work best for your family.
Personalized tutoring addresses learning gaps by focusing intensively on the specific concepts your student struggles with, rather than moving at a classroom pace. Research shows that 1-on-1 instruction is significantly more effective than classroom learning alone for students who need to catch up, making it an ideal solution for Fort Worth students working to meet grade-level standards.
Yes, Varsity Tutors connects students with tutors experienced in standardized test preparation, including STAAR, SAT, and ACT. Tutors can help Fort Worth students develop test-taking strategies, review content, practice with real test formats, and build confidence—all tailored to each student's starting point and target score.
