I am a recent graduate of Brown University (2012- GPA 3.7) where I graduated with degrees in English Literature and Theatre Arts. I have always had a passion for teaching, first fostering this interest as a teacher's aid in my school's Lower School and as a camp counselor for a number of years. Teaching and education continued to be an important part of my collegiate life as well. As far as hobbies are concerned, I love Photography and travel writing. I have experience as an ESL teacher for young children and teens, as well as experience working as a Writing Consultant at my undergraduate institution. I also spent all four years of my undergraduate career volunteering as an SAT tutor for local high schoolers. Beyond this, I have experience both as a private and public Spanish tutor. I love to help students reach their educational and personal goals in any way that I can.

I have a long list of resources that can provide alternative ways to learn, whether that's through well-written textbooks, videos, or interactive virtual tools. I am working to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. With that said, I tutor many STEM based subjects, along with ACT tests and strategies. My current favorite subject is General Chemistry, but my favorite changes every so often. My tutoring style is based off trying to get to know every student I work with and their unique thought processes.

I have a broad range of specialties, from physics, to programming in Java and C, to German, to test prep and college applications help. I also love workshopping all kinds of writing, whether personal or academic. Some of my qualifications include physics research at a Max Planck Institute and acceptances to Harvard and UC Berkeley. I have experience teaching environmental science to children at a botanical garden and volunteering as a reading tutor for elementary schoolers behind grade level.
