At Elon, I am very involved in the College Fellows (Research) Program and I volunteer through the Kiwanis Family. I love working with kids and I love science, so being a tutor is a perfect fit! I have been tutoring since the beginning of high school and I have worked with students who learn best in different ways, so I can tailor my explanations to make sure the student understands everything. I know that this is not always possible in a classroom setting because one person is often teaching 20+ students, so I am extremely happy and grateful I have the opportunity to help through individualized tutoring.
