I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, with both a BA in English and a MA in Humanities, in the areas of Writing, Literature and History. I've taught at several universities overseas and in the United States. I've primarily taught Composition and Literature at the university level and have also taught English in High Schools and Middle Schools in the US, in Texas. For two years I taught English to Chinese students on an online platform, so I'm used to delivering course work in that format.I enjoy teaching Writing and helping students to prepare for their future academic careers by giving them a tool they can use for future essays, and exams.I've had a number of students return and thank me for helping them to be better prepared for their academic courses, allowing them to make better grades and be more confident in their abilities.Learning is something that never stops, we learn while in school, but we'll continue to learn about people and cultures around us as we interact with the world.

My interest in education and teaching began when I first started nannying when I was 14 years old helping kids with homework and continues to this very day with a love of academia, science and self improvement. I also have several years of experience in working with special needs children and adults, which I believe gives me a special understanding of all types of challenges and the patience required.I am in the process of earning a degree in Neuroscience at the University of Cincinnati. My favorite subjects are definitely science-based, though I also thoroughly enjoy and have a lot of experience in writing and reading comprehension.I love the challenges of learning and helping others understand new things.I am committed to helping others fully understand the academic challenges they need help with and finding a way to assist in a way that makes learning fun and easy, with a focus on a no-shame policy of being confident in your abilities and unafraid to ask for help. I am excited for this opportunity to help others achieve!

I graduated from Queens College with a degree in Sociology. I am currently in the process of applying to graduate programs to pursue my own dreams of an MBA. I have been a teacher/tutor for SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, GMAT, AP US History, and various other subjects for over four years. My favorite subject to teach is AP US History because I have the ability to make the stories of our past fun and interesting. I constantly update my teaching materials and methodology with each passing year to help my students. I enjoy teaching and seeing my students learn new things. When my students are able to earn better scores the moment is very rewarding to me. If there is a problem that you do not understand, I will help you understand it fully. Outside of academic I have a passion for sports, running, and music.

I started my engineering degree at a small private university (Western New England University), and I am currently a senior finishing my mechanical engineering degree at University of South Florida Tampa. After completion of this I plan to apply to law school to become a patent attorney.I have previous experience tutoring in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and Pre-calculus and I am currently certified to tutor in a wide variety of math up through Calculus 2. Furthermore I am certified to tutor in and a variety of physics and mechanical engineering classes.Calculus would be my favorite subject to tutor in because this is the core foundation of engineering problem solving. However, I enjoy a wide variety of different disciplines of math and physics.Everyone learns differently and traditional environments are not always ideal for all students. My approach is to identify a students strengths. Furthermore, I like to find out what a students current understanding of a topic is and expand upon the topic from this point.Outside of school I enjoy camping, backpacking, outdoors, concerts, comedy, and when not in Florida and back home, snowboarding.

Throughout college and my two years as a math teacher, I found that there isn't one best teaching method. Instead, each student is unique and this reflects in their learning style. A good teacher will be able to change strategies to accommodate for differences in learning styles. I hope to be the best teacher that I can be by listening to my students and adjust my style of teaching to fit the student's needs.

Education is the most important thing; we can loose everything, but nobody can take what we have learned. We can learn from books or from life and all that information will be useful someday. Education is what makes us different from everyone else and takes the veil that covered our eyes and shows us the truth. It can be painful sometimes, but it is better than to live in obscurity.

Hello! I am Paula Grech. I am a working RN and EMT-P (paramedic). I graduated from my nursing program with honors.I love teaching and coaching students using creative methods. You won't get a boring PowerPoint presentation from me! Do you like storytelling, videos, and podcasts? Do you like mnemonics and drawings? I do, too!I find the best way to remember what I have learned (in addition to practicing it) is to teach it. I am a new hire preceptor where I work. I instruct and mentor nursing and EMT/paramedic students in pharmacology, pathophysiology, anatomy, and physiology using a variety of methods including live online explanation and demonstration, mnemonics, illustrations, online video, and podcasts/audio.In addition, I can teach you study methods so you can learn in line at the grocery store and reinforce the information in your sleep! All the techniques I teach I used myself with great success.I passed National Registry at the paramedic level twice (you may retest instead of completing CEs) and NCLEX on the first try with 75 questions.I can practice skills stations with you, teach you NCLEX or NREMT strategies, work on your weaknesses and teach you how to memorize large amounts of info to pass your exams! You can do it!

I am a fourth year student at Harvard Medical School, and will start working as a pediatrician in July of 2016. However, if I had not decided to become a physician, I would have strongly considered becoming a teacher. Teaching is one of the most enjoyable activities I do, and I have taught in some capacity every year for the past ten years. I have taught subjects ranging from English to algebra, from physics to dance, and have taught students ranging in age from toddlers to adults. I have also provided advice on application essays, resumes, and interview strategies for Harvard College students applying to highly competitive scholarships. Each of these experiences has taught me how to communicate concepts in clear and engaging ways. For instance, while tutoring adolescents enrolled in the Boston-based Artists for Humanity program, I would often teach students whom I had never worked with before, and thus became adept at quickly discovering and implementing the strategies that worked best for a particular student (e.g., visual/tactile examples, analogies, and breaking down complex problems into smaller parts). While tutoring a janitorial staff member in preparation for the mathematics portion of her GED high school equivalency exam, I learned how to quickly identify the highest yield topics for a standardized exam and focus our efforts on those. Each of these experiences has been incredibly rewarding, and has inspired me to teach in some capacity throughout my career as a doctor.

Frequently Asked Questions
The PS Exam (Professional Services Exam) is a certification assessment for professionals seeking to demonstrate expertise in project management, business analysis, or related fields depending on the specific credential pathway. The exam requirements vary by professional organization and certification type, but it's typically required for roles in consulting, program management, IT service management, or business process improvement.
Whether you need to take the PS Exam depends on your career goals and industry—some positions require it for advancement or credentialing, while others use it to validate professional skills and knowledge.
Most candidates struggle with balancing broad conceptual knowledge across multiple domains while also mastering detailed technical content. The exam often covers diverse topics—from process frameworks to risk management to stakeholder communication—requiring both depth and breadth of understanding.
Time management is another significant challenge, especially for working professionals juggling study with full-time jobs. Additionally, many candidates find it difficult to move beyond memorization and develop the critical thinking skills needed to apply concepts to real-world scenarios, which is what the exam tests.
Personalized 1-on-1 instruction allows a tutor to identify exactly where you're struggling—whether that's a specific knowledge domain, test-taking strategy, or application of concepts. Rather than generic study guides, your tutor can create a customized plan that addresses your gaps and builds on your strengths.
Research on 1-on-1 learning shows that personalized instruction significantly accelerates mastery compared to self-study or group learning. A tutor can also provide immediate feedback, help you practice under realistic exam conditions, and teach you how to think through complex questions strategically rather than just memorizing answers.
The best PS Exam tutors bring both professional experience and teaching skill. Look for tutors who have passed the exam themselves, hold the relevant certification, and ideally have real-world experience in the field the exam covers. They should be able to explain concepts clearly and connect theory to practical applications.
Equally important is their ability to adapt to your learning style, diagnose where you're getting stuck, and break down complex topics into manageable pieces. A great tutor will also be familiar with the specific exam format, common question types, and time management strategies that help candidates succeed.
Preparation timeline varies based on your current knowledge level, professional experience, and how much time you can dedicate to studying. Some candidates need 6-8 weeks of focused study, while others benefit from a longer 3-4 month timeline to build deeper understanding of complex domains.
With personalized tutoring, you'll move more efficiently through material since your tutor focuses on your specific gaps rather than reviewing content you already know. Most candidates working with a tutor benefit from 2-4 sessions per week combined with independent practice and review.
Personalized PS Exam tutoring typically includes concept review and explanation, guided practice with actual or realistic exam questions, strategy coaching for different question types, and diagnostic assessments to identify weak areas. Your tutor will help you develop a study plan, track your progress, and adjust focus based on what you need most.
Many tutoring plans also include review of practice tests, help with time management during the exam, and confidence-building techniques for test day. Your tutor can work flexibly with your schedule and learning pace.
You're ready when you can consistently answer practice questions at or above your target score threshold, understand the underlying concepts (not just memorized answers), and can apply frameworks to new scenarios you haven't seen before. A good indicator is scoring well on full-length practice exams under timed conditions.
Your tutor can help you assess readiness through diagnostic testing and mock exams, then let you know if there are specific areas that still need work before you schedule the real exam. It's better to delay a few weeks and feel confident than to test unprepared.
