As an educator, my favorite thing is to help someone understand how to find joy (or at least comfort) in reading and writing. I believe that these skills open the entire universe to a person, whether it be in a fictional realm or in the boardroom. I received my BS in English Education at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, earned National Board Certification, and have recently completed a MS in Technical Communication through North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. I have spent my career working with students of all levels, including EC, Honors, and AP. I have also spent much time tutoring students to be successful on the verbal portion of the SAT. In my free time, I of course enjoy reading, but a close second would be traveling. I love a good road trip, and I'm also trying to expand my travels - hopefully going overseas soon!
