In my spare time I like to engage in athletics, and was a Division 1 rower in college.

I am extremely passionate about academics and learning; the value of each was inculcated into me at a very young age. I tutor a variety of subjects largely because I have so many areas of interests and have been privileged enough to pursue knowledge in those areas. I even enjoy tucking away "useless facts"...in fact, those very tidbits got me past the Jeopardy! Online Test and into the Contestant Audition!

I am currently finishing my senior year at the University of Georgia. I am pursuing Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and International Affairs with an anticipated graduation date of May 2015. My passion for tutoring was ignited when I was in high school where I provided assistance across all academic subjects to students in grades 6-12. While at college, I have provided private tutoring to friends and acquaintances. I tutor a variety of subjects within the social sciences as well as critical reading and writing of all kinds. My passion, however, lies with economics and the LSAT. Economics holds a special interest to me because it seeks to explain how decisions are made, whether by nations, businesses or individuals. As someone who plans to attend law school, I spent countless hours honing my LSAT skills, and I came to view the test not as a brutal exam, but as a game that can be won. Regardless of the subject I'm tutoring, I utilize the same philosophy with all of my students. I firmly believe that any student can master any subject or test, it is simply a matter of changing the way that material is presented and understood. Education is a vital part of personal development, and I consider it an honor to help students master material. When I'm not tutoring or rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs to win a national championship, I hone my trivia skills by watching as many movies and reading as many books as possible.
I am an astronomer who spends her days coding in Python and conjuring up equations to fit trends I observe in my spectroscopic data. Currently, I study how stellar environment affects the gaseous disks around baby stars that may be forming planets (Yep & White 2020, The Astrophysical Journal, Volume 889, Issue 1, id. 50). Math, physics, and coding are all part of my job solving mysteries of the Universe! Throughout the year (except during global pandemics), I run Georgia State University's telescopes to show everyone the planets, stars, clusters, and galaxies visible from right here on Earth.
