As a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist with a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University, I have dedicated over 40 years to clinical care and academia, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of Anatomy & Physiology. I mentor 120 students each semester, focusing on anatomy, physiology, neurological rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and vestibular disorders. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and engage deeply with the material. I am passionate about tutoring because I believe that a solid understanding of these subjects is crucial for future healthcare professionals. I am a graduate of Life University. I obtained my degrees in Theology and Education. I also have a Child Development Associate degree.I have worked in Special Education, in classrooms, churches in Children's Ministry with 160 children and 90 leaders.I have also done home education of 2 A.D.D. children; worked in a Preschool and online teaching ESL in other countries and Texas A&M.I am passionate about teaching children to read and having a strong reading foundation. I love teaching and have been teaching for over 34 years. In my experience, when children are taught to read well, they open the world to themselves and others. I can relate to your child is dealing with, as an overcomer, I have learned how to learn and how to make it stick, but in an easy, gentle way that is also enjoyable.My family and I love to travel and have traveled extensively for many years.
I obtained my Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, my Doctor of Chiropractic and Master of Science degrees from Life University. I have experience tutoring and teaching a variety of subjects in K-12 education, including Health Occupations, STEM, and college-level courses. As a new tutor with Varsity Tutors, I currently specialize in math but am eager to expand my subjects to include those related to health science. Health science is a particular passion of mine, and I prioritize subjects that enhance knowledge and skills in this area.
