I believe that all students have a right to learn, regardless of race, socio-economic status or abilities. Every classroom should be a safe, caring community where students are free to speak their mind and grow. My background and experiences of growing up as an immigrant who had to learn English as a Second Language, have always given me a unique perspective of what students need in order to succeed. The great educators in my life taught me that an education is the gateway to success and happiness, I am proud to be living proof of this. I have made it my life's mission to be a role model and an advocate of all students who desire and deserve to achieve their dreams through furthering their education. I completed a bachelor of arts degree from the California State University, Fullerton; a masters degree from National University and a Doctorate of Education from Trident International University. I have 25 years of experience in secondary education; 4 years as a math college tutor, 12 years as a secondary mathematics instructor and 9 years as an administrator. Currently, I work as a secondary assistant principal. I have experience teaching basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Algebra II Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. I also speak Spanish fluently. In my spare time, I love to read, travel, work on arts and crafts and puzzles. Currently, I am spending most of my spare time chasing after my toddler. I am passionate about teaching and helping students succeed in Math. I look forward to the opportunity to support you in Secondary Mathematics.

I have taught many levels of secondary math including 8th grade math, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. I have tutored these subjects as well as trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus. I love tutoring any subject in math, but Algebra II is my favorite because it was during this class in high school that I realized I loved math and wanted to major in it and teach it one day. I want to help students find the fun in math like I did in high school. I believe that all students are capable not only of learning math, but excelling in it. Because I get to know my students and their interests, they are very receptive to learning from me. Outside of math, I enjoying going for runs, going to ballet class, and spending time with my almost 2 year old daughter.

I graduated from National University in San Diego with my MA in history, and have been teaching history at the AP, IB, and college level since 2015. As an AP World History teacher, I helped students to better prepare for the essays, especially the Document Based Question through the analysis of both documents and visual images. I believe that so much of student success on the AP and IB history exams comes down to understanding the question, what's being asked and how it's being asked. Beyond the immediate benefit of AP and IB classes and testing, with the possibility of earning college credit, comes the realization that students can be empowered to explore the world and to understand their places within it.

I have a Master's Degree in Education. I hold 6 teaching credentials in the State ofCalifornia. My clear credential is in K-6. My expertise is teaching the basics. Basic English writing and reading. However, my greatest skill lies in teaching basic math.I am a retired school teacher, when I started working at Harmony Elementary School in Los Angeles in September of that year, the school was 89% far below basic in their math skills. There are different skill levels created for understanding student's math skills. Basic students have a basic understand of arithmetic, below basic students are having a hard time understanding math concepts, far below basic students don't understand anything about math. Many can't count! At the end of year, in June, Harmony Elementary was one of highest scoring schools in California in math. It was because of me that the math scores changed so dramatically. Please see; YouTube anderson sequence system. (2 minutes and 36 seconds.)I can do the same for your student. Just because I don't have a video concerning the other subjects, it doesn't mean I am not just as good when teaching basic writing and reading. I have techniques that others don't know exist. If you want your child to learn any of the basics, I am the tutor that can change their lives. In a very short time!

I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks."I believe that there are five essential elements that are conducive to learning. As a student of life, education, both formal and informal, energizes me. On the formal front, I have my AA in Psychology, my BA in Criminology, and my MS in E-Commerce, and I have an equally diverse post-studies career history. My love of education has taken me to Southern California where I fed my love of law and learned about film. Next, I visited rural Florida with a stint at a Community Theatre. I've even spent a fair amount of time in the Hospitality Industry in Las Vegas, which, unexpectedly, introduced me to the construction industry. Through all of this, I have been a professional tutor for profit and pro bono. I believe education should be available to everyone regardless of age, sex, or socio-economic status, and I utilize learning identification to impart wisdom in the most effective way possible for each student's needs. I love that magical moment when the student "gets it." With experience in a broad range of subjects, mathematics is the most enjoyable for me, as well as LSAT Logic Games I'm the weirdo doing LSAT games at the tea house.
