I have tutored Accounting and Calculus I in college but I love to tutor Finance because it is my favorite subject. Outside of academia, I love to play online PC games and also singing because it allows me to make friends and relax. :)

I am currently a first year full-time M.B.A. student attending the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University in Waltham, MA. This past May, 2014, I graduated Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Philosophy. As my degree indicates, I have always been a fan of "numbers". Hello! My name is Preston Schwartz and I am currently a rising sophomore at Bentley University intending to double major in Public Policy and Global Studies. I went to high school at Council Rock High School North where I got my first experience in tutoring through a variety of national honors societies. I tutored students weekly for the National Honors Society and the National Math Honors Society as well as tutoring independently. Being able to tutor was one of my favorite activities in high school and I am excited to continue doing so through Varsity Tutors. Helping a student reach the "ah ha" moment is an incredible, irreplaceable feeling that I love.Outside of tutoring, I enjoy hiking with my friends, reading, playing with my dog, and playing sports. I play rugby for my University's team and I enjoy running as well as pickup games of baseball and football. I have found sports to be very similar to my academics in that my results are only determined by the work that I put in. As a result, I love exercising my mind by challenging myself to learn more and gain new knowledge; I hope to spread this love to all of my students.

For my day job I serve as a consultant to Young Guru, Jay Z's audio engineer. I've always loved music - especially Jay. When I went to school for finance, it really stunned people that knew me because it was "so far" from what I loved. In reality, it wasn't.The reason I love working with students in my free time is because tutoring isn't just about improving grades to me; it's about shifting the perception of what you can do. As a tutor, I aim to help you realize how subjects that you struggle with can help you in the long run. Moreover, I want to help you find the intersection of what you're good at with what you are passionate about.

I am a proud alumnus of Bentley University and have worked in corporate finance and investment research for four years since graduating in 2018.
