I'm a fourth year medical student who will graduate from Georgetown University School of Medicine in May 2025. I have been tutoring since high school in a wide variety of subjects at all levels of education from elementary school to the graduate level. My tutoring philosophy is to identify where and how students are struggling and to use each student's learning style to break down concepts and learn in smaller steps. I received my B.S. in Chemistry in 2013 from California Polytechnic State University. I then went on to receive my M.S in Microbiology and Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. While obtaining my Masters' degree, I worked as teaching assistant for biochemistry lectures and microbiology lab courses, and found my love of teaching. Due to my positive student evaluations as a TA, I was offered an adjunct lecturer position for the 2015-2016 school year as the Microbiology Lab and Experimental Biology Lab instructor. I am now working to apply to Physician Assistant programs in New York. While I have primary taught college students, I also have experience working with elementary school students. While obtaining my B.S., I helped establish a program where myself, fellow students, and faculty members of the chemistry department would travel to local elementary schools to perform science experiments demonstrating basic scientific concepts to students. I am always eager to teach, and I believe my teaching style is helpful for students of all ages.I grew up playing soccer for 14 years in New Hampshire (my home state), and continued playing intramural soccer in college, and I have now moved on to coaching. In my spare time, I also enjoy reading, hiking, paddle boarding, and am currently learning how to play the guitar.

Hello! My name is Kaylie and I am currently a graduate student at Oregon State University pursuing my M.S. in education! I received a B.S. in Biology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and am currently obtaining my teaching credential in secondary science. I have led group study sessions at Cal Poly for both chemistry and biology college courses, was a specialized one-on-one tutor for students with various learning needs, and now have almost a year of experience student teaching in both middle and high school science classrooms! I discovered my passion for tutoring when I took a job at a tutoring center in high school, and I've been growing as an educator and honing my craft ever since. I recently graduated from Cal Poly with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics. I have been working with children for about 8 years as a tutor, nanny, and camp counselor. I spent my last few summers working in Switzerland as a camp counselor with children from all over the world. I loved learning about their cultures and languages while helping them improve their English skills. During high school, I tutored elementary and middle school children living in transitional living facilities in a variety of subjects. Throughout college I tutored other college students in statistics, algebra, and edited essays. I have always had a passion for math and statistics but also enjoy the writing and editing process. While working with both privileged and underprivileged children, I have learned that each child has a unique way of learning and with patience any student can succeed. At times, I struggled in school and know the feeling of frustration and defeat that come with not understanding something. However, because of this I also know how amazing it feels when you experience that "light bulb" moment. I believe these moments can determine a student's confidence and that they should be celebrated more enthusiastically. It's not just enough for a tutor to be this way. We (tutors) must teach our students to be patience with themselves and to have confidence in their abilities as well.

I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in Statistics, and I have worked in a variety of roles at big companies as a data analyst, and statistician. My goal is to provide students with top quality tutoring by being attentive to their needs, and working as a team towards finding solutions.
