Academics can be challenging but I'm here to help! I'm currently a college junior pursuing an Electrical Engineering B.S. Degree and am on the way to (hopefully) obtaining my Math PhD! I'm most passionate when teaching students about Math and Spanish using a bunch of tricks up my sleeve that many teachers may not use. I know many (current) students struggle with these topics but I'm here to spice learning up a bit. Traveling across the East Coast recently has shown me how many different learning styles students have and has made it easier for me to accommodate to different needs. I believe having a strong support system, especially regarding academics, can help a student enjoy learning as opposed to just memorizing content. Growing up, learning new topics and ways to maneuver around the world has always been super enjoyable so I'm spreading this love for learning to others using this platform. Outside of school, I love connecting with my friends and peers from classes as well as doing art (all types!). Photography, drawing, painting, and sculpture are some of my passions (just to list a few).

Film has always been more than entertainment to me, it's a way to understand identity, uncertainty, and change. That perspective drives both my production work and my desire to teach. Through my experience working with the New York Mets, the New York Jets, and CNN, as well as traveling internationally, I've learned that filmmaking is about adaptability, collaboration, and perspective. As president of my university's production club, I've focused on helping others turn ideas into real projects, an experience that drew me to teaching. I want to teach film as a way of thinking, not just a set of rules, helping students analyze stories, adapt creatively, and understand the impact of their work. Ultimately, I aim to help students not only make films, but understand why their stories matter.

I have B.S. in biochemistry and B.A. in French. Interestingly enough those were my worst two subjects as a high school student. Now as a teacher, these are my best two subjects to teach. I know the feeling of being confused and/or frustrated over a math/science sub-topic. Therefore, I know how to solve some of the confusion challenges because I've been there myself. Hence, i can change the dimming light bulb of confusion to a bright light of understanding and confidence. I have been a tutor for the past several years since my retirement. My tutoring experience includes both face to face and online tutorial instruction. While Math and Science are a definite focus, I have worked with all core subjects to include ESL -Reading instruction. The integration of music and drama in all core subjects is a special interest, not to mention experiments and the Scientific Method.
