I'm very passionate about working with students to help them better understand mathematics. I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and I am in Graduate school pursuing a Masters in Adolescent Math Education. In the next 2 years I hope to start Teaching math on the middle school or high school level. I hope to give students a strong understanding of math and change those students that "hate" math into students who at least persevere through it because they understand it's importance.Outside of academics I like to keep myself well rounded. I am very active with my puppy who is a few months old; going hiking, running, and being on the water. I also stay active by playing and coaching volleyball. Other hobbies I have in my free time are weight lifting, reading, computer gaming, and cooking.

I am a graduate of Molloy College for my undergraduate education in Elementary Education. After receiving my Education degree, I proceeded to further my academic knowledge and obtain a degree at St. John's University. I received a Masters of Science in Literacy and Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my master's education, I have been teaching students at a New York City Public School. I currently have been teaching 1st grade. Also, I have been privately tutoring students within the borough of Queens. I am passionate in teaching all subjects, however, I am most passionate about reading, writing, and phonics. In my experience of helping struggling students in these areas, it is most important to remember that all students have different styles of learning. Therefore, it is important to differentiate these subject areas according to the students individualized needs. Outside of my professional life, I love to travel and read books. I look forward to working with students in order to adhere to their needs and allow them to grow as learner's.

I am a high school math teacher in Brooklyn who began tutoring when I was a high school student. I enjoy all things math and feel that all of my students need to build confidence in the skills they already have. I feel students can learn better in a one-on-one environment if they are motivated to do so. I will gladly work with you and your family to help you succeed in math! When I'm not teaching, I love to cook and bake new recipes, watch sports, and explore what the city has to offer.

If you are looking to truly learn the Spanish language, you have come to the right place. The reason I say this is because I am a non-native Spanish speaker that has gone the extra mile to learn. I wasn't the biggest fan of foreign language in high school; in fact, I took tech classes to satisfy my language credits. It wasn't until I studied abroad, where I learned what a powerful tool knowing multiple languages could be, that I came to enjoy them. During my sophomore year at Hofstra University I studied at the University College of Dublin where I made friends from all over the world; all of them spoke at least two languages. From there I was determined to learn Spanish. During that following summer I moved to Spain and lived with a friend and his family where I was immersed in the language. After I finished my Business degree at Hofstra I was able to attend Molloy College and earn a BS in Spanish language and begin working on a Master's in Education. I now work for Booker Software where I implement software for enterprise level Spanish clients. Each day I am able to use this language I never thought I would need in such an informative way. Through my experiences I know I can help students of every level. I can relate to students who may not have the drive to learn another language because I myself have been there and can understand their feeling. While on the other hand I am a great resource for students who enjoy the language and are looking to learn from someone who uses Spanish in their everyday life. For the last three years I have been tutoring students of all different levels and they have all made great strides in the classroom. I have varied experience working with many business' throughout the world and that gives me great knowledge in regards to international business and local and foreign economics. I hope to be helping your child in the classroom soon.

Though I have tutored in math and English, I am even more excited to tutor in my favorite subject - accounting. As a current accounting student at Molloy College, I have taken classes in Financial and Managerial accounting. Experience has taught me that, while accounting may seem difficult at times, persistence and an understanding of the overarching-accounting concepts helps to overcome the hurdles.
