I have known that I wanted to work with students since before I can remember, but I did not always think that would be in a classroom setting. After a brief period as a creative writing/social work double major, I transitioned to pursuing a degree in elementary education. I now have a bachelor's and master's degree in education along with 4 years of elementary teaching experience. Tutoring has always been a part of my career, as I love the ability to work with students one on one and meet them where they are in order to help them meet their goals. I consider myself an exception to the rule. Why? In high school, I played the flute and piccolo and marched during halftime while wearing my cheerleading uniform. I took tumbling twice for fun and I minored in mathematics because the idea of taking additional math classes made me excited. When I'm not tutoring or doing research, you'll probably find me outside: running, biking, swimming, or lifting weights. I feel most like myself when I'm in nature and around the people I care about. Lately, I've also been working on becoming a better piano player (slowly but surely!).

I am going into my Sophomore year at Texas A&M University, majoring in Electrical Engineering. I am most passionate about tutoring Mathematics and Physics. I can help with the SAT Math exam and AP Calculus exams.

I am incredibly passionate about education and helping others when possible. I graduated from Texas A&M University in December 2014 with a BS in Biomedical Sciences and a BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences. I tutor Spanish and Study Skills and Organization. My previous tutoring experience comes from helping classmates and friends throughout my schooling career. Living in Guadalajara, Mexico until I was seven years old I grew up bilingual. I think the most important thing to focus on when tutoring is the student's learning method. If the information being presented is in a method that is not conducive, it can prohibit the student from excelling to the best of their ability. By identifying the best teaching method for the individual student, the information will be much easier to portray and understand. I also currently work as a zoo keeper at a privately owned zoo in Spring, TX and am working towards getting into veterinary school to work with exotic animals. In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, creating stencils to paint with spray paint, cooking and baking.

I have a Master's degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. I am currently working on my teacher's certificate and am certified to teach life sciences for grades 7-12 in the state of Texas. I have taken all the prerequisites necessary for teaching and have a probationary teaching license from the state of Texas. I know how important tutoring can be in helping a student improve his or her grades and confidence. I have dyslexia/dysgraphia and benefited from tutoring when I was in school. Because of my learning disability, I understand that each student has a unique learning style. In the past, I tutored students from elementary school up to college. I have a love for science, teaching and tutoring, and look forward to working with individual students and helping them to reach their potential.

Hi Ya'll,Thank you for reviewing my profile and personal statement. Below is a quick timeline and outline of my subject and teaching experience as well as my teaching philosophy.In 2011 I was awarded a undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. I had pursed Biomedical Engineering out of my love from mathematics and the science and their fusion together. This degree required I learn Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Physiology and various applied Engineering courses that required an understanding of how these fields worked and could be contextualized together. While an undergraduate student I became a Michal E. DeBakey Scholar and worked for a lab that was mathematically modeling the cardiovascular system. I was put in charge of leading my own research team, which required me to teach and aid other students. I began to realize that while I loved science I also greatly loved teaching and seeing fellow students overcome their fear of any subject.This lead me to teaching high school Biology through the Texas Teaching Fellows program at Stony Point High School in Round Rock, TX. I saw a lot of my at-risk and even pre-AP students struggling with phobias of science or math. It was truly rewarding to find what it would take to see that student achieve. This experience confirmed my love teaching and helping any student overcome their fear of a subject material. It also helped me realize how much I missed music, which had always been a passion of mine.These experiences lead me to the University of Texas at Arlington where I am currently pursing a second undergraduate degree in Music Composition and Music Education.I am passionate about learning and teaching. I believe that every student is able and can over come any learned helplessness or fear of a subject if it is broken down and explained in manner specific to that students??? learning and communication style. I see my self as a facilitator and seek to help students become independent and successful life long learners.

As a student myself, I aspire to create a comfortable environment where other students can feel free to learn and excel. I tutored children of all ages and been a mentor to my peers during my education at Texas A&M University. I am now a law student. My favorite subject to teach is almost all the levels of math as I enjoyed these subjects the most during my education. I operate with the knowledge that everyone has a way of learning, and it is my job as a tutor to identify that method with each student and treat them according to their unique abilities.

Howdy! I am an aggie graduate of the class of 2022 whoop! I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Environmental Science and a minor in Rangeland Management. I obtained quite the experience over the years from studying abroad in China to interning in my professor's lab. Tutoring is my next step before obtaining a Ph.D. degree and hopefully teaching at a college level.

I am a recent graduate from Texas A&M where I majored in physics. I know that for many highschoolers, physics and high- level math can seem daunting, and many seem to struggle. I wish to help at least some students so that they can succeed in their classes and maybe even become passionate about it.
