I have been in education since 2004. I received my undergraduate at Texas A&M University in biomedical science and then went on to get my Masters at University of Houston-Clear Lake in education. I was a classroom teacher for many years teaching 1st for 5 years and then a year of each of the following 2nd, PK3/PK4, 1st/2nd combo. I then became a dyslexia/intervention teacher teaching dyslexia to K-8th grade and intervention for the same grades for math, science and ELA/reading. From there I moved into a director position and had the privilege of teaching other teachers. I am passionate about teaching reading so that students have a strong foundation.
