Having great teachers has really made a difference in my life by inspiring me to pursue certain subjects more than others, eventually leading to me choosing my major. I hope I am able to make this change for someone and eventually inspire them to pursue a certain subject.

I love teaching English, I have 24 years of experience teaching children and adults from around the world.

Being a student is a full time job itself for any child or adult. It is hard enough to constantly absorb knowledge, while trying to keep up with your daily life! I enjoy tutoring and genuinely want my students to succeed at school and in life. Throughout college, I tutored students in physics and math. I was also a physics TA for four and a half years in undergrad and a calculus TA for one year. Since graduating, I have independently tutored over a dozen students ranging from elementary school to university undergrad.

I have been in education since 2004. I received my undergraduate at Texas A&M University in biomedical science and then went on to get my Masters at University of Houston-Clear Lake in education. I was a classroom teacher for many years teaching 1st for 5 years and then a year of each of the following 2nd, PK3/PK4, 1st/2nd combo. I then became a dyslexia/intervention teacher teaching dyslexia to K-8th grade and intervention for the same grades for math, science and ELA/reading. From there I moved into a director position and had the privilege of teaching other teachers. I am passionate about teaching reading so that students have a strong foundation. I love math and science and you will always find me with a book just in case I have a few minutes. I love to learn and love helping others discover that they can love to learn. I am a current student at Texas A&M pursuing a degree in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology. I have grown up with siblings, always helping them with their homework or subjects they didn't understand. Additionally, I volunteered at an elementary school library for an extensive amount of time where I interacted with the kids and helped run lesson plans. Now, I am looking to start tutoring as a part-time job while I do school, and am excited to do so. I have completed my masters in Medical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and an undergraduate BS in biomedical sciences from Texas A&M University. Hello, my name is Seth! I am a biologist who studies ecology and endangered species. I am a M.S. candidate in biology at TAMU-Commerce. For my thesis, I will be collaborating with faculty and other students investigating population distributions, habitat use, and community ecology surrounding Etheostoma radiosum, the orange bellied darter. Previous to this, I have lived in Alabama where I have worked with endangered species across the state in conservation and community ecology efforts. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Alabama as a double major in biology and earth systems sustainability in December of 2020! My tutoring style is very student need oriented. I don't like bogging people down with information they already clearly have a good grasp of. I like letting students (when they are comfortable) start leading the conversations about subject material as it helps build confidence and reinforces content.

I graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor's in Computer Science in 2012, and by 2013 I was living in Chicago working as a consulting developer, helping create software for clients around the country. I also volunteered with organizations like Girls Who Code and First Bytes at UT Austin in my spare time. However, by 2015 I realized that the work I did with students was much more satisfying to me and decided to switch to teaching full time. I've now taught AP courses, CTE courses, and even Elementary programming courses in a wide range of languages.
