I have been tutotring on and off for a few years and have enjoyed every minute of it. From elementary to college level, I enjoy learning the strengths of my students to help them achieve in their academics.

I graduated from University of Colorado with a degree in History. I have taught high school Math and History as well as History in the middle school setting. I really love math because it shows how to think critically and solve problems. I love history because you think critically and you can make and defend arguments and compare the arguments from the past to the present. I will support the students by teaching them important study skills as well as how to successfully master subjects. Outside of academia, I love to rock climb, hike, camp, and generally anything that is outdoors. I have 3 kids and love to spend time with them.
Hi! I am a licensed teacher with a masters degree in education. I have been teaching elementary and middle school students for 13 years in the classroom and online. I tutor many areas and specialize in mathematics, especially for struggling and gifted learners. I love to help students realize their own unique potential and strengths! I am very flexible and available for questions, extra help, and anything you might need.
I graduated with a BA in English from the University of Colorado in 2001. Since graduation, I've been in the education field working with students in elementary and middle schools. I am considering a masters degree, but will first need to decide which of the many opportunities I shall take. I really enjoy tutoring math and writing. Math is incredible -- I love how numbers are meant to work out to a perfect answer and when students that I tutor "get it" I feel greatly rewarded. Writing is an excellent way of expressing ourselves and should never be intimidating or "scary". So, in those moments when students feel accomplished in writing, I feel like the world becomes a little bit better somehow. My approach to tutoring students is to make education less of a chore or a burden and more of an opportunity for enrichment. Without proper and fun education in our lives, we would not only be constantly reliant on others to take care of us, but life would also be extremely boring. In my spare time, I enjoy my family. I have an equally (if not more so!) nerdy husband of 14 years, and together we have two beautiful kids (ages 7 and 10) and two high-maintenance but cherished dogs. We are often playing board games, rollerblading to a park together, or volunteering with our church.
I am dedicated to support the academic and personal growth of all students. It fills my heart to grow along with them. I have five years of individual tutoring experience along with three years of a classroom teacher experience. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education in Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I tutor math; I believe math goes further than number computation, math is our brain workout to become problem solvers- no only with numbers, but at life. I enjoy getting to know my students and meet them right where they are at. I am interested on helping anyone whom I am able to help, from simple acts like opening the door to life hardships. I am here to serve and I am passionate about being a support for growth.
